Lineapelle cools us down!
In the midst of the English heatwave, Team Evissa have been busy working away on SS19 collections. As Lineapelle prepares for the season ahead however, we have taken a moment out from design and development to visit the AW19/20 show. As ever, we are inspired by the latest colour palettes, textures and treatments and the key trends for Autumn/Winter.
There’s a rumble in the air…
The buzzword for AW19/20 is Youthquake! In a world where our virtual selves live in an augmented reality, Lineapelle is inspired by new technology that allows our ‘hyper self’ to move anonymously in the virtual world. In harmony with this, material trends are predicted to become reflective and mirror-like, taking on alternative forms with hidden depths.
SS19 collections fully embraced Mother Nature, bringing vitality and life to materials with bold, botanical embellishment. Be prepared for the trend to be become even more prominent as AW19/20 is predicted to be embroidery-centric, with almost every material enhanced with dense stitching. Lineapelle favoured embroideries on dark bases, dense, heavy metallic threads and dimensional stitching, layered further with delicate embellishment. Other highlights include embroidery on nylons and detailed stitch patterns over clean sports aesthetics. Expect the unexpected for AW19!
Warming the heart!
Winter warmth and vitality was strongly felt at Lineapelle, dominated by Flame Red, Burnt Orange and Bordeaux Red shades. Team Evissa love the rich, complementary tones, giving them priority in our Top 10 colour prediction palette.
All the gloss!
One of the key leather treatments to emerge is the application of gloss finishes and lamination. Most effective as a treatment on embossed reptile, medium and large-scale croc and tonal snakeskin, gloss adds interest to any surface. Our Design Team will be sure to include smooth, embossed and textured materials with a lustrous finish in our upcoming collections.
