Team Evissa are inspired for SS19!
Lineapelle London presented their trend predictions for SS19 colour palettes, materials and aesthetics, getting the New Year off to an inspirational start! While Team Evissa have their feet firmly planted in AW18 development at the moment, our heads were turned as we took a first look at the next season.
Mother Nature Reigns Supreme
Nature’s colours, textures, flora and fauna have the strongest influence on trends for SS19. Reflecting global trends of environmental responsibility, inclusivity and wellbeing, the newest materials use cutting techniques to enhance Nature’s beauty.
Delicate grey, optic white and monochrome combinations echo pebbled beaches, cloudy skies and glaciers, mirrored by highlights of cool blue and crisp metallic silver. Botanical and marine-inspired shades also dominate, with grass green and deep turquoise shades evoking images of lush rainforests and marine landscapes.
Botanical Imagery + Reptile Textures
‘Enhancing Nature’s Beauty’ is best exhibited in the painted and embossed reptile textures Lineapelle had on show. Palm and fern leaves and exotic florals are layered onto lizard, crocodile and snakeskins to create a treatment that looks both organic and extravagant.
United Colours of Lineapelle
Nude shades are re-defined by the breadth of skin tones. From palest ivory and deep peach, to sun-kissed tan and dark ebony. Team Evissa love the positive message this broad colour spectrum reflects.
Musing on all the show’s trends, we sat down to a hot (herbal) tea and a (leafy, organic) lunch to compile a more detailed report for our Buyers and Designers. Soon we’ll begin to source materials and develop bag ranges including the colours, textures and aesthetics from the show, combined with the latest market intelligence and catwalk-inspired collections.
