Pre-Fall Positivity!
Spreading the love in London’s designer boutiques, fashion’s positive vibes filter through from collections to visual merchandising. We love Summer collections, but can’t help feeling excited as the Pre-Fall statement bags and accessories are showcased in the windows of Knightsbridge.
Going gaga for green…and ladylike
Forest, Kombu, Emerald…green packed the biggest punch in all manner of textures and treatments. Reflecting Pantone’s colour of the year 2017 (Greenery), we expect to see more of nature’s hallmark shade as Autumn/Winter collections start to appear. As our montage shows, the ladylike top handle is also vying for shape of the season.
The Art of Embroidery
Autumn/Winter 17 heralds an Artisanal focus, with embroidery techniques becoming ever more detailed and creative. Straight to the top of our wish list, Bottega Veneta’s reptile grey tote with beautiful, multi-toned metallic embroidery. A real work of art, we love to see the ‘craft’ of accessories close-up.
Jewelled Opulence
Gorgeous gemstones, richly coloured and clustered, signal the beginning of AW17. Rebelling against its traditional occasion-wear execution, jewels decorate across body, boxy and tote shapes. Fashion’s latest obsession with smart tailored silhouettes is complemented and contrasted by accessories that sparkle: it’s a look we really love!
